Neil , can you advise what two bladed wodden propeller is a good place to start , GENIE has a 3 blade wooden prop and I wish to go to two blades . The engine is a 1834 cc standard . Alan Newton suggested a 57 x 34 , what are your feelings or any one elses feeling for that matter ? RiP

I have a 56 x 34 prop' on my 1834cc engine which works very well as a compromise between straight and level and aero's, a finer prop' would be nice for aero's, but I can keep altitude if I am really "on the ball" with it, and it works ok for straight and level. As far as changing prop's go, that is a headache with the LAA, so have a look at:

Who you use to supply the prop' is a problem now in the Uk, Chris Lodge has hung up his "spoke shave", so I don't know who to suggest to supply. I have just bought a prop' from Ed Sterba, I brought it back from the USA, which saved a lot of carriage.

I'm sure that Alan Newton at Newton props would run something up for you. He makes beautiful wood props for all sorts of machines. You'd have a few hurdles to jump through with the LAA I expect, but nothing insurmountable.
