Re: Nipper trolley

Neil

Is old age setting in with the marbles on their way out?

Not good news selling that wonderful nipper of yours.

Or does this mean that you have built a new one?

Do you still have Barry's cowling moulds? My cowls are starting to suffer from gel de-lamination.

Cheers

Re: Propeller Information required

Stuart.

My Nipper G-AVXD has an 1834 Acro Engine . The current prop fitted is a Chris Lodge 54" X 35".
This gives me a cruise of 90 mph @ 3000 rpm.

Re: Engine snag

Thanks Neil My mags are Dual Bendix 3000 series. I have had them overhauled with no futher progress. Yesterday, and after much pondering by a Bendix experienced engineer, we suspect that the left coil is breaking down under load and as such giving a poor flow to the plugs. I have just e mailed the e...

Have tried the following: Mags overhaul carried out, plugs and leads ditto. P leads and earths checked, mags switches replaced, mag adaptor replaced, mechanical check ...

Re: Another Nipper in a scrape.

Adam, Well done for achieving a successful field landing. Having just been lucky enough to do the same I endorse your comments. I presume the insurance chaps are not in the loop regards your rebuild? There are many who could do your repairs, however I suggest that you speak to Neil and see what he c...

Re: LAA RALLY 2011- Who's going this year?

Count me in also........

Paul, you are passing our strip at Linley Hill on your way down.
There is fuel, hangar and free b&b if required.
We could go down as a Nipper combine collecting others on the way.
Give me a nudge when your plans are sorted.

Cheers

Engine Drive to Fuel Pump

Just a heads up to all owners who have Nippers fitted with a Fuel Injected Acro Engine. I had a un scheduled engine stop on Sunday at 1500', resulting in a Corn Field landing. The reason was was no fuel. The cause has been pointed to the fuel pump drive belt becoming detached. After chatting to Barr...

Re: Primer

Hi Neil.
Yes, a tenner worked quite well and thanks for the heads up plus seal info.
I tried to get down to Priory Farm yesterday but north of the Humber was black and thick - maybe next time.

Cheers John
