Hello Paul,
Is the throttle assembly still available?

Re: Wheel Hub dimensions
Jim,
I've been using Toste 400x 4 tyres on Slingsby 4 inch wheels until recently. At 75mm the wheels fit the standard Nipper axle and the Toste tyres also fit and have performed quite satisfactorily.

THIS MONTH’S COVER shows a novel way of reducing hangar fees. Dennis Lowther built this trailer for his Nipper. A complete on-load/offload takes just two minutes. Patt Bott took the photograph.

Re: Fuselage Frame Material
Hello,
I have Avions Fairy assembly drawing of the MK II fuselage drawing A T66F1085 which lists all the tubes used in the construction as SE 4130-MIL T6730 A. I believe that all Slingsby manufactured fuselages were made using T45 but that is only from memory.
Regards, G-ARBG

MK III throttle system
My MK II Nipper (G-ARBG) has a push/pull wire system for the throttle control. I would like to replace it with a later Slingsby MK III throttle linkage. Does anyone have a complete MK III throttle linkage including firewall brackets (or any parts) they would sell?

Re: LeBurg ignition installation
Hi Jim, I'm not a great fan of electronics having suffered some problems with Leburg in the past which is why I retrofitted the chain driven mags to 'XLI, however my latest Nipper has the Leburg ignition system and so far there have been no problems. You do not mention which system you are using, in...

Nipper project completed
Tipsy Nipper G-ARBG has now completed the LAA Flight test schedule and has gained its first Permit since last flown in 1984. As this aircraft is a rebuild a full flight test schedule was required by the LAA. G-ARBG is basically a MK II with a 1600cc Rollason Ardem engine fitted with Leburg. The orig...
