Re: Damaged Nipper Mk2

Hi Chaps

Thankyou to those who have offered to buy bits but I believe it would be a shame to break it up. So I shall rebuild it myself. Regards Ben

Re: wing clamping plates - dimensions

Hi Jim

I have a factory one in front of me. It is .75" or 19mm wide. I can send you a used one to copy if you wish but I think Paul Grellier has them in stock. I am sure you are aware they are chamfered to "square off" the spar angle.

Nipper 36

Nipper No 36 finally took to the air last Sunday having been languishing in boxes for the past 35 years. Its previous flight was when it was crashed and written off in Australia in 1979. Sundays flight was 30 odd minutes with no major problems and it flew again on the same day. The aircraft is based...

Re: Fabric Covering

Hi Colin

Thanks that's brilliant. One last question that I forgot- did you use the lightweight fabric or the medium?

Fabric Covering

Hi Chaps I'm just about to cover the Nipper (no 36) in Poly Fibre. Anyone know how much fabric etc is required? I've not done fabric before so pre warning of any likely "gotchas" would also be appreciated. I have the Poly Fibre Manual and intend to rib stitch the wings as per its recommend...

Re: Prop

Hi Neil Could be interested in your "old cowlings". I did consider standard cowlings initially simply with a deeper spinner to compensate for the Revmaster's extra 2" of hub length. Any views? Re the prop I thought I'd try an old one that's about right, see what revs I get and then go...

Prop

Anyone want to sell a prop circa 56 x 34. Doesn't need to be perfect just useable.

I am also in the market for engine cowlings ( preferably the early type), the forward belly cowling and the rear cowlings. Damaged and repairable would be fine

Leburg

I understand Leburg is up and running again. I have tried to enter the website www.leburg.com but just get loads of "mush". Anyone know a solution?

Thanks

Engines

What's the general view on engines. I am not interested in Jabirus etc. ( I can't afford such luxuries!) Ideally I would like to fit a bog standard VW 1600 but realistically is the 1600 too small or is it perfectly adequate for normal use and reasonably short takeoffs??

Rudder pedal to nose wheel cable Nipper 36

Could someone tell me the total distance between the hole in the rudder pedal and the hole in the steering arm when correctly rigged. I appreciate that there are various fittings etc in addition to the cable or wire but if I know the TOTAL distance I can sort out the rest.

Many thanks

Ben
