Dear Malcolm I got the Revflow carb working without any trouble. With the pump on the pressure is too much, so i don't use the fuel pump at all (other than to prime the carb). Kind regards

Ouch, but i think that is more due to pilot error rather than the aircraft. I am not aware of any inherent handling problems of the Tipsy? Obviously cof is important, especially in spin recovery?
I stop around 1000 to 1200 feet agl and climb back up to start afresh. I appreciate the danger of low level and feel no compunction to go there. Once or twice ended up at 600 agl and was glad for the buffer. It is very easy to make mistakes.

The mount is inflexible so it must be the propwash - i will check the wing camera to see if the "tramping" is something in the airframe - thanks for noticing,

I will source the chute - i have seen it in real life in a Discus2a - it is as you describe - i harness to which is attache the chute, which sits on the turtle deck behin...
Dear Jim thank you for the reply, i am thinking of getting as chute that fits into the "turtle deck" above the seat and behind my shoulders and neck. I have seen some glider pilots using that in gliders they are too tall to fit in otherwise. regards
