Rudder Pedals
Hi Chaps Just a quick heads up on a small problem I have encountered during my permit/annual maintenance. Upon checking the range of movement of the rudder pedals from underneath the aircraft [panels removed] I found that the the rudder tension bungie metal 'C' endcaps were snagging on the end of th...

Re: Fresh News From Portugal
Hi Rui
Great to see another Nipper emerging.
I have one suggestion for a slight mod whilst you are in the stripped stage.
That is to raise the seat back 6 inches, this will make a comfortable rest and prevent a sore back due to the cross member.
Best of luck

Re: Any 'Nippering' going on?
Happy Landings to you all for 2009. After watching Neil's excellent display on Y Tube over christmas. I could not wait to shake the dust off XD. This occurred on tuesday and resulted in 1 hrs total enjoyment trying to duplicate Neil's flight. I managed most of it except for the 3rd roll where i lost...

Re: ICOM A6E vis Lightspeed ZULU ANR Headset
Thanks Paul. My ICOM is a new one with no interface just the standard jack adaptors. Lightspeed have just responded with a couple of ideas so will try them out shortly. I flew XD yesterday around the snow covered tops. It was one of those trips that you have to pinch yourself. who needs drugs! Pleas...

ICOM A6E vis Lightspeed ZULU ANR Headset
I have recently purchased a Zulu ANR Headset for use with my ICOM A6E in XD. The noise reduction and comfort are excellent, however I have been experiencing a problem with transmittions once the active is switched on. In that to make it work I have to repeatedly turn off/on the headset and radio. Th...

Re: Recover-Repainting a Nipper
Thanks Neil I think that the advice given by yourself and Paul has made my mind up. Yes,I agree that whilst the fuselage and wings appear to be in good fettle it would be false economy not to refurb the rest. However, I am fairly sure now that next winter could be planned for this work. Thanks once ...

Re: Recover-Repainting a Nipper
Hi Paul We must arrange a formation trip next time the northern weather is suitable. I e-mailed Mark Jones at Galaxy Micro's last week and very promptly received a gestimate of £3k for covering and painting fuselage and wings. This price assumes that the strip and any rectification has already been ...

Recover-Repainting a Nipper
Hi Chaps XD is starting to look rather tatty as the 2 pack poly on the wings and fuselage has cracks. I am led to believe that the only way forward is to strip and recover as 2 pack can not be softened and merged. Can any of you chaps who have recovered/repainted their steeds give me a steer into do...
