Re: Extra fuel tank
Hi Peter Nipper is looking good, what engine is fitted? Sorry I don't have any tank details, Neil is you man. My Nipper has just the standard tank. You also want to know about the rudder bungees. When I go to the airfield at the weekend I will give mine a quick measure. I was looking at your Nipper ...

Re: Cockpit size
Hi Soren Welcome to the Nipper crèche. I assume 182 is not you age  should that be 1.82 metres tall? What you will need is a Nipper with the tall pilot mod ie: the top of the seat is reclined by about 50mm. My Nipper has this and I am 1.9m tall and weigh about 89kg and I fit ok. Weight is an is...

Re: G-CORD Rebuild
Hi Peter
Well done with the progress......brings back memories of my Nipper build.
The canopy mould looks like it could be a Mk3b which is a much bigger canopy.......if it came from Nipper Kits it probably is.
Maybe see you at the rally.
Cheers

Re: Advice wanted on buying a Nipper
Hi Peter Welcome to the Creche! You should be OK at 5' 7" although not sure of max head room in a standard Nipper. I'm 6' 4" but my Nipper has the modification of the seat back reclined by a couple of inches...makes all the difference. Weight can be a problem, keep it as light as possible....

Re: Fabric Covering
Hi Ben
I used Ceconite 102 when I covered my Nipper many years ago with the covering glued to the ribs with the fabric adhesive, no need to rib stitch. (That was 26 years ago and it is still attached ) Have fun.
Regards

Re: Nipper Wins!!
Well I'll go to the foot of our stairs (whatever that means).......Well done Neil, big grins all round .
I'll have to get my courage back and have a go sometime. Incidentally, given up on the Pitts and sold it on, too many problems and not enough time.

Busy with my new project.....Pitts S1-S (I must have been smoking the same stuff! ), completley stripped down (the Pitts that is, not me)...making new tai...

Re: BUNGEE APPROVAL
Well done Neil.......I don't know where you find the time!! and also RIP for the test flights.
How many bungees are used, I am assuming one per side of the bobbins? I will need to replace mine before permit renewal (next year).
Regards
Stuart
