Re: LAA Rally 2010. Inverness - Sywell - Trip report. (Part 2)
Leaving Fife brought the first slightly nervy moment of the trip. In order to avoid Edinburgh CTA and prevent a long winded routing the only sensible way to go is across the Firth of Forth. The water crossing is around 12 miles from Kirkcaldy to Musselburgh, and this avoids all airspace if flown at ...

LAA Rally 2010. Inverness - Sywell - Trip report.
Hello all, I have been meaning to write a trip report of my journey to the LAA rally 2010, so here goes... Friday 3rd September 2010: The best laid plans were scuppered by the weather, always a possibility in VFR Britain. However not the usual rain and high winds, this time it was fog. Inverness its...

Great Stuart,
I should still be there, if the weather looks like it will hold up I will leave on Monday Am.
Three nights under canvas- lovely!
I will look out for you.
Paul.

Re: LAA flyin Sywell Sept' 3/4/5th
All systems go for NIPR and I to make the trip South. Planned stops for comfort and fuel, are: Inverness - Glenrothes (Fife) - Fishburn - Sturgate - Sywell. About 4h 20m trip time following a sensible route based on terrain and airspace. I Will be leaving at 0700 local and should make good my slot o...

Re: Jabiru Nipper for sale.
Be careful with that crosswind, the limit is 16 kts according to my paperwork, although I have also reluctantly taken mid-20's too. The concern is that it could tip once on the ground, and no experience will prevent that. Doubt the insurance would pay up in such circumstances! Take care but ENJOY it...

Re: Hello
Neil, No alas not , although there is not much of the old Atlantique left anymore. I think I saw the good years. I took a transfer to Highland Airways in 2000 and moved to Inverness then, (they were part of Atlantique then), but have been with Flybe for nearly 2 years now. I remember seeing the JP l...

TIP TANKS.
Hello all, I am hoping to get Tip Tanks fitted to NIPR in time for the rally in September. So far all is looking straightforward and we are following the original Slingsby mod number 7 , an option that was available at purchase. It should give me another 28.5 litres useable , so nearly two hours ext...

Hello Neil, Welcome from me too. Good luck with your machine. Des only had three engine failures, and one control restriction during a loop but it all came good in the end. It is a nice machine. My machine once lived at Barton way back in the late 80's and early 90's, owned then by Steve Todd. You m...

Re: URGENT HELP NEEDED!
Sorry to hear that Des. Money is money, but for what it is worth I would let them all visit, see what they offer on the day and go with what feels right. As long as you don't lose money there should be no complaints! Doing well to sell it at all in a 'recession' I suppose. Good luck with the new mac...

Re: LAA flyin Sywell Sept' 3/4/5th
All being well G-NIPR and I will be making the long trip south for the rally.
I have the leave, and just need the weather to be kind.
I have booked a slot to arrive on the Friday at 1500 local,
Hope to see many of you there!

Re: suspension rubbers
Hello All, Greeting from sunny Athens (working not holiday!) I would be very keen to take a set (or perhaps two) of the bungees. Perhaps with a bit of effort we can reach the magic ten that Pats source would need. Any takers? Put me down for two sets Pat, and let us know if you get enough interest t...

Hello All.
Hello All, Hope men and machines (and Kate of course!) are all well. I've been quiet on here of late, nothing much to say really, but have been lurking. Flew the NIPR today, went well with a surface temp of -8 deg C! Good to get up and very pleasant flying conditions, smooth with great vis. I hope t...

Re: Migrating
Hello Johm,
Sorry to hear you are off down South (up North for most though I 'spose).
When are you off?
They say high pressure with us next week and possibly beyond, I might be able to get out and meet up somewhere...
Drop me a line if that suits.
Paul.

Ps: And you Des!
