Re: G-NIPR COCKPIT SHOT

But the thing is... the choccys survived the journey and are still in the fridge at home! They were my emergency rations, but with so many stops enroute I did not want for food! The dotted line is the end of 'that' map, it picks up again on the Scottish half mil. GPS was god send due to grotty viz f...

OWNERS 'TESTIMONIALS' - WHAT ARE THEY LIKE TO OWN & FLY

Hello all, I have received an email from one of our members who is not currently a Nipper owner but is seriously interested in becoming one. He has asked for Nipper owners 'testimonials' aboout what they are like to live with and to fly. I don't have time to write my comments at the moment as I have...

G-NIPR COCKPIT SHOT

A shot of the cockpit taken at Breighton on the way to Inverness.
Minimalist and with just necessary instruments. An Airbus she ain't!

Nipper Insurance.

Hello All, I was delighted to find a great insurance broker to insure the Nipper this year. They are called 'On-Risk' and are web based. They are a UK company and my impressions so far have been very good indeed. For a hull cover of £12000, third party of £750,000 they charged me £455. They offer pa...

Fly In's and Fly Out's for 2008 - You idea here please!

Hello All, Giving some thought to next years flying season and the possibility of Nipper gatherings. Does anyone have any idea's for interesting meets? Obviously we are quite geographically spread and it would require some work ( I guess I would be going south from here!) Here are a couple of ideas ...

Re: G-NIPR FLIES AT LAST!!! (and it flies well too!)

All legal again now, with paperwork back from the PFA and CAA.
Looking forward to putting some hours on her locally and building up to some decent cross countries next spring.
Any thoughts of a Nipper fly out to somewhere in 2008? Please post your ideas on the 'fly in' section.

How are your temps and pressures?

Hello All, Now that NIPR is legal again I am back in the air. The new engine has now got 13 hours on it and is purring like a well fed kitten. I am always keen to monitor the health of my engine and would like to compare t's and p's with you all. My oil temp has been very low and I have struggled to...

Nipper Magnetos for sale - full set up.

Due to the change of ignition system from mags to Leburg I have for disposal a set of Lucas SR4 magnetos. They are both in good working order, one was rewound just months before being removed. They come with the Nipper firewall mounting bracket and all wiring, including mag switches. I will also inc...

Hi Glen, Looks great, could eat your dinner of that floor! Just one criticism.... you spelt criticism wrong! Ha. It only seems like yesterday that my wing looked like that, and there I was today flying it! Stay focussed and think of it all as a series of small jobs.. I'm sure you knew that anyway wi...

Re: G-NIPR FLIES AT LAST!!! (and it flies well too!)

Hello All, I have uploaded quite a few pics of NIPR onto my Facebook page. It allows me to host a lot of pics easily. For those interested go to http://www.facebook.com search for me under PAUL ANDREW GIBBS. It is then located in my photoalbums. Ps: I am temporarily grounded due to a CAA paperwork g...

Re: Tipsy Nipper Wanted - Any condition

I do the same as Glen, just a little positive and a lot can be done. It also teaches you to be accurate, when you get it a little wrong and the engine coughs the attention gets focussed somewhat; but I am led to believe that it will pick up again as soon as positive is reapplied (a la Chipmunk). You...

Re: Rib Stitch or glue

Glen, If you go to the 'THE AIRCRAFT' section of the board you can start a new thread about your aircraft. I can try a sticky, but the level of traffic we have means it wont drop of the bottom of the thread anyway. Please start another thread with your reg and 'restoration progress' or similar, and ...
