Hi Pat,
The part no's and source of your brake system would be much appreciated.
Great to hear you are up and running again, I would be interested in flying down next week in mine to take a look, where are you based now and would it be convenient?

Re: MAIN U/C LEG QUERY.
Hi Paul, If it is "end float" so that the u/c leg will slide up and down the bolt slightly and there is a slight gap then a shim (washer in laymans terms) could be used to take that out. It is not a big problem. You say it is the rear leg, so the load off of the u/c rubbers is not so much ...

Re: Inlet manifold and Decompressor
Hi Paul, The idea has been on my "drawing board" for a while, I may be able to get a 2nd hand 1600cc aero version VW to experiment with, just waiting on a price. I have run the idea past Andy Draper, he is very much in favour of it, so it has his initial support. Nipper going well, tho' I ...

Inlet manifold and Decompressor
Hi Guys, In the constant search for the perfect Nipper (!!) I have a couple of ideas: The oil cooler inlet manifold is not a new one, but I have an idea that I could do with some machine shop access to develop, does anyone have such access? particularily a milling machine for aluminium. (Peter Bentl...

Re: You tube
Hi David, Thanks for that info', I have not tried airstarting mine, I have an 1834cc VW, so with the larger capacity may not turn over. The decompressor would allow the engine to turn over by lifting the exhaust valves, and I think may even start with the ex' valves lifted, especially as mine is fit...

Re: OIL FILTER
Hi Bob, Rather red faced........don't think I came back to you for the part numbers! If you are still interested, I may be doing away with my oil filter setup due to weight, so I may have a complete kit for you less the oil pickup block on the top of the engine. (I would think you have one anyway fo...

Hi Pat, Thanks for the kind words. On the subject of parachutes, I do not have the space either size-wise or weight-wise to carry one, or else believe me there would be one nailed to my back. I have done much research on spinning both flat and normal erect, and intend to do a talk on the subject whe...

Hi Guys, Just a quick update before I go away on hol's for a couple of weeks: The fuselage is completed appart from a few cosmetics.(Sign writing the rudder etc) I did a stress test on the wing yesterday, caused some sweat in the stress department and in the physical dep't too!
