Restoration of G-AZBA

I bought G-AZBA from Laurie Brown, and flew her out of a very muddy and wet field on the 4th Dec' 2005. The aircraft had had little or no maintenance during its life with Laurie, and my hope was that although the airframe was tatty and oil was dripping off everything under the cowling, including the...

Hi Pat, Thank you very, very much for the opportunity to fly your Nipper, very generous and trusting.........I have to say I had forgotten just how lovely it is to fly a Nipper. G-AZBA wing meets fuselage

7_DSCN5082_1.jpg G-AZBA fully rigged in the garage. I have now removed the wing for some final finishing. Waiting for paperwork from the PFA and then a window of opportunity to move the plane to the airfeild for final assembly and test flying. I am shortly moving jobs, so will not get the opportuni...

Tip tanks

Hi Pat, Although the internal tip tanks would be easier to install when the wing is bare, I created the mod' paperwork with the intention of not having to recover the wing. All the work is done from the underside of the outer full bay. It is necessary to introduce two inspection hatches in bays 3 an...

Photo gallery

Hi Paul/David,
Just uploaded a pic which seems to have uploaded ok.
Is it possible to have a similar photo gallery to the old site which was much easier to see and use? Having the tiles/thumbnails was good so you could scroll through the photos.

Hi Paul, I have covered mine with Ceconite 102, 3 coats of dope (thinned 50/50), 2 coats of Aluminium dope (50/50), one coat of flexible 2 pack primer, and hopefully tomorrow 2 coats of 2pack top coat. Once that has cured I shall apply the red and black colour scheme. The 2 pack paints I am using ar...

Well done on new site.

Hi Paul,

Well done on the new site.
How long will the old site be in existence? as there is some good history there and some useful info'.
I checked out placing a photo in the photos section, but don't seem to be able to "browse" and upload.
