Nipper BBQ and fly-in

Postby MATT COOK » Mon Mar 02, 2009 8:07 pm

Guys

In honour of my little aeroplane I am going to host a BBQ on April the 10th ( GOOD FRIDAY) at our Strip at Newnham. Its around 700 meters east/west and grass, situated near Baldock just east of Junction 10 on the A1.

It would be good to see as many examples as possible, so if you can make it let me know on here. Il keep you posted a week or so out on the weather. Just bring your planes and what you want to eat!

Hi Matt,

Thank you for the invite, I am quite close to your venue and would love to come, unfortunately my roster is a "red-out" that day, so I am unable to get the day off. However, I am flying the earlies, so if I am back in time I would love to attend. You have not mentioned a time?

I tried to follow the link to find your strip, and found the strip via Google Earth, could you confirm the strip Lat/Long to be:
52° 1'11.79"N 0°10'3.97"W

Have you received the list of fly-ins/venues that some of us hope to make I posted?

Good luck and happy landings.

Neil

26th Sept evening air display at shuttleworth looks good to me for a mass meet.

Also - I intend to go to the St Omer bash in France ( hopefully second weekend in Sept) if any other nippers could make it might be fun.

Well - the weather is changing by the day, with 2 forcasts never agreeing.

If it is flyable Friday, bring what you fancy to eat off the BBQ and come along. See below web link for our site and details:

Nippers always welcome regardless of events!

Drop me a text if its touch and go and il tell you what the WX is like.
