Hi David,
Hope you are well (long time no speak).
If I am thinking of the instrument you are, it is a combined volt/hour meter.
Not strictly speaking a tacho as in rev counter. My revv counter is a standard instrument and has been fitted since I bought the aircraft back in '98.
The combined volt/hour meter was fitted by your aquaintence, Robin. I dont know where he obtained it, but I have managed to dig out the paperwork supplied.
It is called an 'Engage 11 3000 series - volt/hour meter'
It was fitted in association with the Leburg, mainly to monitor system voltage, to ensure
that the generator is 'generating'!
The hour meter part is a useful extra, and works just like a hobbs. I use it to get a heads up as to when the oil change is due.
I hope you can find out more by a little web searching, or failing that by giving Robin a shout.

Thanks Paul,

I will contact Robin. Still struggling with Leburg but met with Henry Mickleburgh last week who is very helpful so I am quite optimistic about a successful outcome.
