G-ONCS nearing completion.

Hi Guys,
Just a quick update before I go away on hol's for a couple of weeks:

The fuselage is completed appart from a few cosmetics.(Sign writing the rudder etc)
I did a stress test on the wing yesterday, caused some sweat in the stress department and in the physical dep't too! Loaded the wing to 5.2g with sand bags, just to veryify the wing was safe after repair, not required by the PFA or my inspector, but something I felt I needed to do.
I expect to have the Aux' Fuel tank mod' approval papers any day now.
I have included a warm air vent in the Stbd cheek panel........yes cabin heat in a Nipper!! Whilst doing engine runs it seemed very effective, so I will report back again once I have proved it in flight.
I have fitted a spinner from Great Plains Aircraft, it has a forward mounting plate that supports it better.
The engine sounds sweet, though I still have an issue with mixture distribution with the Ellison I would like to resolve.(The Stbd side runs richer than the port at max throttle.)

2 days work should see it rigged and flying once I get back, and am really looking forward to getting it flying again...the "Nipper Grin" has been missing!!

Well done Neil, pretty quick considering. Let us know how the test flying goes.
From what I understand the engine is the same as before, with the obvious repairs to the crank completed.
The bigger engine will be fitted at a later date, is that right?

Best of British,

Paul.
G-NIPR.

Ps: Flew NIPR yesterday for a short local, first in a month due to wx and work pressures. All went well and not a drop of oil from the previous
leak. Thank goodness.
