All,
Can anyone advise a good source for purchasing cellulose dope. Is there a colour chart available with RAL numbers.

www.sky-craft.co.uk He may be able to help.
He was my inspector when I built my Nipper.

Dave will sort you out with RAL colours except certain yellows !
If you want really bright colours, his supplier gets a bit cautious, as we found when we did my friend's Tiger Moth tailplane.
Dave was superb in trying his best, but the Golden Yellow we wanted was not supported. Everything else was spot on - fabric, nitrate, silver, clear etc etc.
We sorted the colour out through Ray Howes at LAS in Devon
Eventually used the Randolph matching service, took 5 weeks but when the matched butyrate came through, it was absolutely undetectable when sprayed over the old dope - superb service.
We used butyrate for several reasons - colour and material match, gap seals, but above all else, it is still a very easy medium to work, gives a great finish and is super easy to repair and rejuvinate.
