Tipsy nipper Engine

Postby Lennard_00-WOT » Wed May 27, 2015 9:27 pm

Good evening Tipsy Nipper Owners,

A short introduction of myself,
I am Lennard van der Kamp from the Netherlands and sub-owner of the 00-WOT Tipsy Nipper MkII.
Me and my team have some trouble with the engine.
Due to this issue the engine needs te be overhauled,...no trouble there only that i am a avionics guy so i really need a sort of engine Manual, only.... i cant find it over the internet.
This really bothers me so therefore this question on the forum.
Does somebody now where i can find/buy a MkII 1600-1800 VW engine aircooled engine maintenance/overhaul manual.

Greets from Holland!

.. and sorry for my english, i am working on it Very Happy

Hi Lennard,

Depends what you are looking for by way of a 'manual'. They range from the usual car maintenance manuals to some that are more specific to aircraft applications. You can buy VW aircooled engine manuals, intended for cars, from Amazon. Alternatively you could go to the website for Great Plains or Revmaster and order a manual on-line from them from the USA, although here in the UK you pay additional taxes and customs charges which make this a relatively expensive option compared to the original price of the manual. Finally, if you go to the aerovee website below you can download a PDF version of the Aerovee manual that may fulfil your requirements?

http://www.greatplainsas.com

http://revmasteraviation.com

http://www.aeroconversions.com/support/ ... Manual.pdf

Good luck, Peter.

Hi Lennard,

I have a scanned copy of the Ardem Mk10 manual. It came with the document pack for my Nipper. You are welcome to a pdf copy if you pm me your email address.

Regards

Jim
