G-NIPR FLIES AT LAST!!! (and it flies well too!)

Postby G-NIPR » Tue Oct 16, 2007 10:23 pm

Hello all,
The world's longest rebuild has been finished. G-NIPR has flown and I am delighted to say she flies very nicely indeed.
I took to the air from Booker on Saturday 13th October. A short test flight of around thirty five minutes was enjoyed over Henley on Thames.
It flies straight hands off, needs a smidge of right rudder (almost imperceptable) in the cruise. The leburg ignition and engine seemed to be superb. The brakes were pretty ineffective, hopefully will get better with use. I have just arrived back at Inverness this evening after a very eventful trip, and I am exhausted. I will post a detailed chronologue of the journey for those that are interested in the coming days.
In the meantime I have attached a couple of pics to start you off....

Hello All,
I have uploaded quite a few pics of NIPR onto my Facebook page.
It allows me to host a lot of pics easily.
For those interested go to www.facebook.com
search for me under PAUL ANDREW GIBBS. It is then located in my photoalbums.

Ps: I am temporarily grounded due to a CAA paperwork glitch. They haven't yet issued a permit limitations' or 'conditions'
document in the new reg! So although I had a brand new certificate of validity in my hands this week, it was revoked as soon as I got it until they sort the rest out. Likely time out will be two weeks.... Shame, nice weather up here this week!

Cheers.

Paul.

Hi Paul

Why not use the Tipsy Nipper Flickr Group? http://www.flickr.com/groups/tipsynipper/

Photos are viewable by members only so I've sent you the invite - any body else want to see them/sign up - let me know.

All legal again now, with paperwork back from the PFA and CAA.
Looking forward to putting some hours on her locally and building up to some decent cross countries next spring.
Any thoughts of a Nipper fly out to somewhere in 2008? Please post your ideas on the 'fly in' section.

Hi Paul,

She looks fab'...........what rpm were you using to get 95knots? Count me in to any fly-in, that is if I am back in the air!
