Count me in for Duxford and thanks for booking 4 slots. I assume we can arrive at any time between 1000 - 1015. Do we have to let them have our registrations??

See you there fickle weather permitting Sad , otherwise Old Warden on Sunday Very Happy !

Hi Stuart,

I had to give them some reg's which I would potentially need to amend, and I figured you were one of the more likely to join us, so I have already given them your reg'!! Yes arrival anytime between 1000 and 1015. Look forward to seeing you there.

Hi Pat,
So Sorry, I did send you a text message late last night, did you not get it? I thought as everyone else (except you) had "wimped out" I would save myself for Sunday!
Hope to see ALL OF YOU there tomorrow!!

Hi All,

Well the "Nipper Swarm" didn't even buzz!! Ben F in his Cub, Pat B and myself arrived in our Nippers to a barren Old Warden, not even anyone on the radio!! So I passed airfield data to Ben who arrived in his lovely Cub and Pat B in his Nipper arriving shortly after me at 1000. We booking in, paid our £12 for landing/entry into the FANTASTIC Old Warden Collection. They don't like it being called a Museum, because each and every aircraft/vehicle is airworthy/roadworthy, or being restored to such. We had a breakfast/drinks/chat and then headed off into the Collection. There are 7 hangers, all packed with truely breathtaking exhibits going back to the first to take to the skies. There was an Edwardian flight display scheduled for the previous evening, but the wind was outside the limits for these fragile a/c. I would whole heartedly recommend a visit to this wonderful collection.

Hope to make another date for later this summer, but work commitments mean I will have no time till late June, unfortunately my roster pattern will also change so am unable to suggest other dates this year.......that is not to say that anyone else can "take up the banner" and run with the idea of a get-together!!

All the best and happy landings.

Neil

Sorry that I didn't make it! I was all set to go but I decided the forecast gusty crosswind was outside my limits! Unfortunately the 300 metre strip I fly from is quite dependent on the 'right wind', which I suppose is a small price to pay for the convenience of being 5 mins from my house!

Right, excuses over, I hope we can all get together at some point later in the year! Don't forget Father's Day fly in at Priory Farm, 19th June. More details will be posted on www.brecklandstrut.co.uk nearer the time. It's usually a nice low key affair with plenty of visitors and a good BBQ. I'll probably be marshalling if not milling around drinking tea! Fingers crossed for weather, hope to see you all there!

Rob
